On October 11, 2019, at Riverdale Baptist High School, Collegiate Knights took home a win of 42 to 0 against the Riverdale Crusaders, delivering a major blow out after losing two games. 

The topic of chicken sandwiches hasn’t really sparked much conversation until Popeyes began promoting their chicken sandwiches. The conversation started on Twitter. Chick-fil-a tweeted “Bun + Chicken + Pickle = Love”.

Once again another retail store is closing its doors. Why? It probably has a lot to do with all of the online shopping and new clothing stores popping up everywhere digitally.

Choosing a college, by default, is one of the hardest things for our generation. For many students, it’s challenging because the college you choose will be the place you live for the next four or so years.

On September 27, 2019, Friendship Collegiate Knights faced Good Counsel high school at 7:00 pm. FCA put up a good fight but at the end of the game, Good Counsel walked away with the win.

One of the biggest high school football battles in Washington, D.C happened on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 5.00 pm. Friendship Collegiate Academy and H.D Woodson kicked off the Ward 7 Clash of the Titans at RFK Stadium.

It Chapter 2 is the sequel to the 2017 movie, It. The movie picks up 27 years after the first movie. The Losers Club, now adults are called back to their hometown, Derry, to conquer their fears and defeat the murderous clown, Pennywise, once and for all.

On Sept. 6, 2019, FCA proved why they are the champions in an epic rematch against Ballou. Collegiate dominated their rivals 41-14.

From June 28th - July 3rd, 2019, Tech Prep Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) experienced their first National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas. The conference gives all Future Business Leaders of America students the opportunity to compete in various competitions, network with other business leaders, and experience San Antonio.

In the last 5 years, Golden State has broken and set records at an unbelievable rate. They have gone to the finals four years straight and won three. The Golden State Warriors is and has been the best team for years. This is a new dynasty.

On April 26, 2019, Marvel Studios released the movie “The Avengers: End Game. This is the last movie for phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am a big Avengers fan, so when I saw all the previews for this movie, I was very excited about it.

Everybody is excited about what might happen during the first game of the 19-20 season for the Browns after Odell Beckham Jr. tweeted about a “week one surprise” for the opening game with the Jets. He was just traded from the Giants and he’s coming back home for week one.

On September 30, 2018, the Simpsons, created by Matt Groening, went into its thirtieth season. The Simpsons first started off as a short on “The Tracey Ullman Show” in 1987. Two years later, they became their own show on the FOX network.

What does everyone dream about when they are a young kid growing up playing football with or against their family? Maybe to be like brothers in the NFL like Chris, Jake, and Howie Long or the Mannings: Eli, Petony, and Archie.
