Two Great Cities, Two Great Colleges, ONE Friendship
From April 15 - April 17, FNN reporters from Friendship Tech Prep and Friendship Collegiate went on our third annual spring break trip. We were able to visit two wonderful cities, New York City and New Haven, CT. This trip allowed 10th and 11th grade reporters from both schools to explore two different colleges while of course having fun.
R.I.P Nipsey Hussle
Ermias Asghedom, also known as Nipsey Hussle, is a well-known rapper from Los Angeles California. Hussle was a huge inspiration in his community who supported and defended many African American sisters and brothers. Nipsey Hussle was shot in front of his own clothing store, THE MARATHON in Hyde Park, California on March 31, 2019.
It Gets Mental
Everyone has their own issues. Things like self-confidence, anxiety, putting yourself out there, and maybe being vulnerable can be a struggle for many. Sometimes the person will know that he/she has these issues, while others don’t. These problems, depending on how severe they are, can affect one’s mental health.
Goodbye Payless, The Cheap Shoe Store Has Called it Quits
We continue to hear about all of these businesses closing down. Well, today another company has announced it is calling it quits, and this time it is Payless Shoe Stores. Payless said last week that they have officially closed down for good. The company will shut down over 2,500 stores in North America alone.
