Music, Dancing, and Memories Fill FCA’s 2026 Prom

Friday May 15, 2026. Students at Friendship Collegiate Academy celebrated their senior prom at National Harbor Gaylord Resort hotel in Maryland. The event brought together seniors in-person and online for a night of dancing, music, food and fun for memories before the school year ends. High School has a lot of good events but the best one is something we like to  call Senior Prom because it not only is just going to dance and party with the people you have been around for years but it is also an Alarm telling you that you are one step close to being a high school grad.  

While in the prom I learned that prom is not just a dance. It’s giving students a chance to celebrate friendships and their final high school memories together. Many people said that they had been looking forward to it since the start of high school because it allowed them to relax and have fun before graduation and become an adult. “Prom is a night I’ll never forget because everyone comes together to enjoy themselves”,said senior Tayliah Jackson Thomas. This quote shows how meaningful the event was for students. These students didn’t come to play. The pop out was loud and had a lot of people, some friends, family and more. Not only did everybody look royal, they came to show out with the nice cars, dress and suits, loud music, screaming, and all round just fun. 

In conclusion, prom was a memorable and successful event for students. The night was filled with music from the DJ, friends dancing, laughter, and moments that many students will remember for years just like King Quay-Ari Stewart and Queen Amoni James. Everyone’s hard work and participation helped make the event special. The staff, students, and organizer all should be proud of creating fun and experience for the school's community.
