FCA Esports Team Goes to Blerdcon

The FCA Esports team was given the chance by Ms. Merritt to attend Blerdcon. Blerdcon is a Black comic and anime convention where people can cosplay and meet voice actors, social media influencers and comedians.

Blerdcon was simply a whole new experience. When I first arrived there I felt ecstatic to see my favorite characters, and I had a lot of fun playing Super Smash Bros with other people. It made me realize that there were levels to this game. After playing for a bit I went to get some food from the food trucks that were available. A few hours into Blerdcon passed by and two of my teammates participated in the Super Smash Bros and Mortal Kombat 1 tournaments. From what I remember they didn't place very high, but they had a lot of fun. I was also able to meet voice actor Harvey Ari, who voiced Prism from the game “Dispatch.” 

Then I was at the climax of the tournaments, but we had to leave to go home. The best part of the first day at Blerdcon was the trip back to the school. I had so much fun on the bus with my friends.  

I found this experience very entertaining with all the games, cosplayers, and voice actors. This was definitely the best trip of the year and I would love to go again.
