Every Teen Should Watch The Lovely Bones

The Lovely Bones has been my favorite movie since I was six. The movie is based on a novel by Alice Sebold, published in 2002. The Lovely Bones is my favorite movie because it tells the heartbreaking yet hopeful story of Susie Salmon. Susie is a 14-year-old girl who is murdered by her neighbor, George Harvey, in 1973. After her death, Susie narrates the story from her own version of heaven, where she watches her family and friends as they grieve, heal, and try to move on without her.

My favorite part of the movie The Lovely Bones was when Susie Salmon's sister started suspecting their neighbor and found the book of how he planned her sister's death. My least favorite part of the movie is when the dad got beat up for “being a creep” but he was really following the neighbor after Susie started giving his clues to what happened to her the day she disappeared.

I would rate The Lovely Bones a 10/10. This movie shows how evil this world is and no matter how good you know someone you shouldn't always be so trusting. It shows how people grieve and other real life emotions.
