I have watched journalists and listened to several content creators' perspectives on what they think of Will Smith slapping comedian Chris Rock at the 94th Oscars on Sunday March 27, 2022.

Homelessnes is a condition that is spreading rapidly through the United States and the world. I thought homeless people usually get where they are because of buying drugs and not cooperating at work or home.

So my peers and I at Friendship Online Academy have been back in school from the winter break for two weeks, but it feels like I never took a break at all. I am already looking forward to the next day off. I heard a comedian say teachers live from holiday to holiday, lol. Students do too.

I went to the Alamo over the winter break and it was AMAZING....the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in NE DC that is. This is the District’s newest go to hotspot. It has been a while since the District has added a new cinema, but there is none like this one. The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is not your run-of-the-mill movie theater, so don’t come expecting the routine bag of popcorn, nachos, overpriced candy and hotdogs. What you can expect is to be WOWED by the ambiance, the hospitality, the novelty, the experience, and the waiter. YES, I said waiter!

The Planet Word is a museum about the history of words. It is located at 13th and K Street, NW, Washington DC. The Planet Word museum was very inspiring to me as a young writer. First the building itself was gorgeous.

Today, my mom and I volunteered to pick peppers at the Kelly Miller Urban Farm in Washington, DC.

Oahu is the third largest island in the Hawaiian chain and there is plenty to do and see here. I had a few things I especially wanted to do like, swim with sharks, wander through the Dole Pineapple Maze, and pay my respects to the soldiers lost during the bombing of Pearl Harbor. However, getting there during these COVID-19 times could be a pain, so I had to accommodate for that as well.

I am nine years old and I have seen a lot happen in my life. When I was born, the United States had a black President, President Obama. As a young child that meant nothing to me. Till the age of five the only important people in the world lived in my house.

On Friday, November 20, 2020, my classmate Eden Washington and I got to listen to National Weather Service Meteorologist, Tim Brice talk about how to prepare for certain weather disasters.

On Friday, November 13th, 2020, I had the opportunity to interview the artist responsible for thousands of the white flags planted at DC armory, Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg artist of a Covid memorial called How Could This Happen. I went to the area where thousands of surrender flags were planted. At least that's what they looked like to me.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to ice skate?  We did, and now we do!  At Friendship Online Academy, we love doing school in a virtual environment because we can plan to participate in really cool activities like learning to ice skate during the school day while still getting our lessons completed!

Some of my classmates at Friendship Public Charter School Online (FPCSO) recently visited the Museum of Natural History to study the natural world.  We attended this field trip, which was open to students in kindergarten through fifth grade, with our learning coaches.
