Solo Leveling is a Web Novel/Toon series that is based in South Korea. It tells the story of Sung Jin-Woo’s rise from the weakest hunter to the strongest.

On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, the National Honor Society committee inducted 22 students into the organization at Friendship Collegiate Academy in the auditorium.

The boxer is a webtoon about an unbeatable boxer called Young “yuu” who was found by a famous boxing coach, K, who right away noticed the potential inside of Yuu although he himself wasn't able to find any value in it. Further into the story we find out that K’s intentions weren’t as pure as we were led to believe.

The problem is toxic masculinity which is, “the act of a male presenting toxic behaviors to others.” It is very damaging to everyone in the situation. It is still prominent in households, families, and even in society. Today men account for 80% of arrests for violent crime, 98.9% of arrests for forcible rape, 97% of all mass shootings, and a 3.5x higher suicide rate than women. This all stems from toxic masculinity.

Covid-19 started in Wuhan, China when three people with pneumonia contracted the acute respiratory illness. What makes Covid-19 one of the most traumatic diseases ever? During the beginning of Covid-19, the number of people who died in China was 4,636 and the total of cases were 98,445.

At Tech Prep, 9th and 10th grade students are preparing for the upcoming PARCC assessment. In class, students prepare for the test by taking practice tests and participating in a mock PARCC testing week.

Four young ladies and Woodridge scholars have been attending book club sessions for about a month now, hosted by Librarian and Woodridge Teacher of the Year finalist, Ms. Whitfield. They’re reading Turtles All The Way Down by John Greene, and as you can see in the picture above, they are hooked. The book is a fan favorite, with a 4.6/5 overall rating amongst readers.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine is a gross violation of the people of Ukraine’s rights. Over one million people reportedly have fled Ukraine due to the Russian invasion, displacing them from their homes and causing them to become refugees. Along with this according to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights since 3/28/22 at least 1,935 civilians have lost their lives in this war.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you are aware that Russia and Ukraine have officially gone into a war. This includes air strikes, a declaration of war on live television, and threats of WWIII brought up by Russian President Putin. These series of events have brought with them a LOT of confusion and controversy. What is really happening?

This is the story about Edward Bronstein who was pulled over by police in Burbank,California, March 31, 2020. The officers thought he was driving under the influence of a narcotic. They ended up pulling him over to draw blood. The autopsy report states when Edward asked them why they needed a sample, he was abused by officers and one knelt on his back Bronstein yelled, “I can’t breathe.”

We’ve heard common phrases from a man when he looks upset. Some men would say “Man up!” or “Guys can’t cry,'' so as not to show their emotions and deem themselves as ''weak”. Some would treat men who show femininity and who are LGBTQ+ as “not manly”. According to the American Psychological Association, there have been reports of young men taking masculinity way too far when they become misogynistic to both men and women.
