On January 24, 2020 my father and I went to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. to see the National Auto Show. We had to ride the escalator to the second floor to see the RC cars. RC stands for Remote Control. An RC car is a small car you can control.

Kobe Bryant is a well-respected man on and off the court. He is respected for his mannerisms, dedication, competitiveness, and intelligence. He was married to Vanessa Bryant and they had four children together (Gianna, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri). A lot of people don’t know that Bryant spoke seven different languages.

School lunch at my school is good on some days and other days I wish I would have packed my own lunch. My favorite school lunch meal is pizza, grapes, and salad. This meal is tasty and similar to what I would eat outside of school.

When I first heard we were going to be in a mandatory quarantine, I was shocked, but I didn’t take it too seriously. I thought it was only going to last for two weeks like the school said. I’m used to being in the house anyway, so I wasn’t too bored.

On Wednesday, December 18, 2019 and Thursday, December 19, 2019 the FPCS Blow Pierce Early Childhood Team hosted the Festival of Lights in the school’s courtyard.

On February 27, 2020, the students at FPCS Blow Pierce put on a black history month showcase. Each performance represented a different decade and the students highlighted important black history facts that happened during that era.

At Friendship Tech Prep Academy, we have extraordinary teachers. I’d like to tell you about one of our teachers who is this school year’s Tech Prep Teacher of the Year, Ms. Brittney Lot who is our 10th grade, geometry teacher. She always ensures that her scholars are not only successful in her class but will be successful in their future.

The Coronavirus is a virus that was originally found in animals and, rarely, transmitted from animals to humans and then spread person to person.

Martin Luther King Jr was born January 15, 1929 in Atlanta Georgia. He was a civil rights leader who protested in a nonviolent way. He wanted people to be treated fairly regardless of the color of their skin. Two things Martin Luther King Jr is well known for are his leadership in the Montgomery Bus Boycott and his famous speech “ I Have a Dream.

In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, FNN hosts an annual Book Party where students in grades preschool through 1st grade are able to read books, eat cookies, and take home a free book of their choice.

This school year, I went to the doctor and got an eye exam and it turned out that I needed glasses. I was scared to wear my glasses because I saw on TV how students tease students who wear glasses. I knew wearing my glasses would help me to see better, but it still didn’t make me less nervous to wear them.

For over three decades, March has been known as Women’s History Month. During the month of March, people all over the country celebrated the amazing accomplishments and good deeds of different women around the world.

On Thursday, March 5, 2020, FNN Tech Prep reporters and SGA members walked across the campus to Southeast Elementary to celebrate reading and our favorite childhood author Dr. Seuss during the FNN Book Club parties. PreK - 1st grade Southeast Scholars were filled with joy and excitement to have us read to them.

One of my favorite kinds of salad is spicy grilled chicken salad. What's yours? Imagine being able to compete in a salad-making competition and creating any kind of salad you want? This is happening in Illinois and it’s great for kids.

On February 4, 2020, we had an induction ceremony for the Junior Beta Club at our school, Friendship Southeast Academy. To start, Meagan Maddox was the Mistress of Ceremonies (the person who introduces the guest and speakers). Then there was a welcome statement by Morgan Maddox.

There is a life-threatening virus going around called the “Coronavirus”. This deadly disease began in China in December 2019. Many scientists say that the disease started from an animal and was then transmitted to a human.k

Friendship Tech Prep had a very exciting homecoming with events planned every day that the staff and students loved—a trap and paint, step show, silent party and even a lip-sync battle which was my favorite! Shout out to the 12th graders who put on an amazing show.
