Tech Prep Celebrates Black History Month
Throughout the entire month of February, which is also known as Black History Month, Friendship Tech Prep scholars and staff celebrated the entire month together. We had many different events, special lunches, and social media challenges.

It’s obvious every country, city and just basically everywhere has a different atmosphere and culture. One country could be completely different from a country right next to it. If the culture is different, you can already guess that the food is extremely different.

Anyone Care for Some Rap Potato Chips?
MARCH 9, 2018: Welcome back, Rap Snacks. We've missed you! The potato chip company that first came out with the Hip-Hop snack back in 1994 has now been rebranded and is finally making a comeback! This is the most popular snack eaten at lunchtime today.
4th Graders are Buzzing Over an Electrical Circuit
Today at Woodridge, students acted as if they were electrical engineers by making a representation of a circuit. There was so much buzz going on in Ms. Lewis’ 4th grade science classroom. The electrical circuit was the topic of the lesson and students reviewed the concepts of a closed circuit, an open circuit, and a short circuit.
Woodridge Checks Out Alexander’s Terrible and Horrible Bad Day
On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, the 2nd through 4th grades took a field trip to see the play Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day at Adventure Musical Theater in Rockville, Maryland. It is a short 45-minute play about a boy who has a horrible day. His day starts out with him having gum in his hair.
FPCS Students Take “Premiere” View of Black Panther
On Friday, February 16, 2018, middle and high school students from Friendship Tech Prep, Collegiate, and Woodridge International Academies were selected to go to a premiere viewing of the fantastic movie “Black Panther”. As of now, Black Panther is the Number 1 Movie in the world.

FEB. 12, 2018: H&M is in the media again. Protesters in South Africa have completely trashed H&M. H&M is taking a big loss after their racist ad went viral two weeks ago. Angry protestors knocked over the clothing displays, along with the clothing racks, mannequins, signs, and displays.
