Our black lives are important. For instance, Terrance Sterling is another innocent black citizen who is now dead because of a caucasian cop. Terrence was on his way home from a bachelor party on 17th and U Street in Washington, DC around 4:20am on September 11, 2016... 

For the past weeks, high school and college students in Washington, DC have been walking out of school to protest the president-elect, Donald Trump.

On November 17, 2016, Friendship Tech Prep Middle had their “Fall into Denim Dance”. There were games and refreshments. We had snacks like chips, pickles, candy bags, and nachos. Dinner was free with burgers, meatballs, and your choice of drink. 

Many people all over the world wear pink to show support and raise awareness for Breast Cancer. Did you know that everyday we are getting closer to finding a cure for cancer? This is an important cause because it is a very serious illness and can even cause death....

Police brutality is getting out hand. Now, thanks to the work of body cameras, police officers are starting to be held accountable for their use of unnecessary force. Protesters are beginning to get more violent because they want answers from the government and want to know what is being done to stop this madness from happening to African Americans....

Everybody wants to know the key to being a cheerleader. Of course, cheerleaders don’t have enough time to sleep, or even have time to be themselves. Every time they take a break they have to get back up and cheer again. The cheerleaders work everyday all day.

On September 23, 2016, I participated in the Lit & Talent Show at Collegiate. The pressure to put on a good show was very nauseating. I drank herbal tea for a week, and ran through the song ten times. I was very anxious during the performance.

Damian Lillard is a professional NBA player. He plays for the Portland Trail Blazers. He went to a D3 college called Weber State. He was the first round sixth overall pick in the NBA draft. He went on on to win NBA Rookie of the Year by an unanimous decision.

I am one who loves football. I love the action and I have an extreme passion for the game. There are many players in the NFL today who I look up to, but there is no one I aspire to be like more than JJ Watt. Ever since I moved to defensive end, JJ is someone who I've kept a close eye on.

On October 19, 2016, the sixth graders at Friendship Tech Prep Academy went to Luray Caverns, VA. Luray Caverns has many activities alongside the caves, like rope climbing and the maze. It was a long ride to Luray Cavern’s—about two hours going there and back. When we arrived, we ate lunch.

On September 19, 2016 all of Friendship’s high school campuses got together at the Community Theater to watch the amazing film, “The Birth of A Nation.” “The Birth of A Nation” tells the story of Nat Turner, who led one of the greatest and bloodiest slave rebellions in history....
