Friendship Marches for Social Justice
On August 4, 2016, Friendship students went to “Black Lives Matter” march that was organized by the Friendship Public Charter Schools. The trip was was very tiring, but very inspirational. The fact that we are standing up for ourselves shows that you shouldn't be afraid to stand up for yourself and what you believe in.

As the underdogs of the season, no one expected Friendship Collegiate varsity boys basketball team to make it. After starting the season with eight straight losses, they were not expected to make it to the playoffs. On January 14, 2016, that all changed.

During the 2016 halftime of Super Bowl 50, Beyonce did a tribute to the Black Panther Party by wearing all black and having all black women dance wearing afros and berets on their heads. There was a lot of hate towards Beyonce. People were saying it was outrageous to do it at the Super Bowl....
The Wonderful Trip to Georgetown University
On Monday, May 16, 2016, thirty-two 7th grade scholars had a chance to go to Georgetown University to take a tour of the campus. We had a chance to talk to an actual student from Georgetown that just completed her first year of college.
