“Black Panther” is a very influential and inspiring comic book character within the Marvel Universe.  He is one of the few positive images of Africans and African Americans appearing during the height of segregation and racial tension in the 1960s.

February 11th, 2016. Students from Friendship Tech Prep went to the National Geographic Museum to attend a meeting for S.T.E.M mentoring at the S.T.E.M Mentoring Cafe. Some mentors told students about their work in space exploration of different galaxies....

 On January 2, 2016, Sean Beach and I went to the Georgetown Hoyas basketball  game. It was their second game at their home court. When they came out the song that was played was “Jumpman”, by the rapper, Future. Jumpman is a popular song made in DC.... 

On Saturday, February 27, 2016 I had the chance to visit where the president lives. I went with a program called College Tribe. College Tribe is a program that is STEM-based and is a mentoring program for 3rd-8th grade black boys....

Soon phones can be used to better understand what is in food. Scott Faber, who is the vice president of government affairs for the Environmental Working Group,has helped make food labels that help people find different food information by simply using a phone to scan the food label. This will be done by the end of 2017. 

In September of 2015, Jahree Mack and I had the opportunity to interview Mrs. Bonita W. Cacho. So who is Bonita Cacho? Currently she is working at Friendship Tech Prep as a teacher of performing arts and African/Caribbean culture and drama....

Our flag football team record at the end of the season was 4 wins, 2 loses, and 2 ties. So we were able to make it to the playoffs this year....

Coal Pepper Bailey is a pup on the move who loves to travel. Ms. Morton said that he is an amazing little dog who loves to travel with her....

There is this new anime that comes out this spring. It's called Bloodline and it looks like the new go to anime for all.

A group of middle school students from Chamberlain attended the Conference on College and Careers at Gallaudet University last Fall. It was not until recently that I realized the value of this trip and was inspired to share it with FNN....
