Forever 21 is a chain of clothing stores located all throughout the United States. Fenty Puma is a mix of street and sport looks in shoes, clothing, and accessories for an athletic look.

When you hear the word, “space”, what do you think? Space, it’s a beautiful place. We as humans have been studying space since man could remember. Fifty million years from now the earth will be too hot for life as we know it to survive.

From April 17 - April 19, 2017, three reporters from Tech Prep and two reporters from Collegiate had the chance to take a trip to New Haven, CT over spring break. We were able to tour Yale University’s famous Beinecke Library to view the Harlem Renaissance exhibit. We toured the entire Yale campus along with the engineering school. We stayed at the Friendship News Network director Ms. Kaufman’s house in Hamden, CT which is about 20 minutes from New Haven.

The D.C. District Wide STEM Fair was held at Dunbar High School, and two of our very own Titans, including myself, got the honor of representing Friendship Tech Prep with our innovative projects.

On March 10, 2017, I got picked from my school to participate in Student Minority Day at Microsoft. While I was there, Trayon White the Ward 8 Council Member gave a speech on how he grew up and became successful and then gave back to his community.

Jamal Adams is expected to be a first-round NFL draft pick with Leonard Fournette (Former LSU Running Back). He was born October 17, 1995, and is 21 years old. Jamal attended Hebron High School. He later attended Louisiana State University for three years and then decided to join the Nation Football League.

A teen was found alive in North Carolina and she is 18 years old. Her name is Kamiyah Mobley. A woman kidnapped her when she was a newborn baby in the hospital. It has been almost two decades since she was missing

Since January 2017, there have been a numerous amount of teens missing in Washington, DC. Where are they going? Are they running away? Are they being kidnapped? On Friday, March 10, 2017, Friendship Tech Prep hosted a Male-Female Forum on responsibility and respect which are two of Friendship’s core values. We had many guests from places such as Sasha Bruce and the Metropolitan Police Department. These people spoke about the importance of safety, respecting parents, and respecting yourself.

Samuela Wolfe was 6 months pregnant with baby Ava when the baby’s father attempted to stab her in the stomach. On August 31, 2016, she was severely injured in this attack which caused baby Ava to be born three months early.

Around this time last year, 2-year-old twin boys were killed in a house fire in New York.  Now you're probably wondering where the mother was during the time of the incident.

On January 4, 2017, Vegas police found a body of a 49-year-old homeless man dead in an empty lot.  According to authorities, the man died of head trauma while he was sleeping. Police suspected he had been hit over the head with a hammer.

This March, FNN wants to recognize some of the many women trailblazers in our history. One of these mountain movers is tennis legend, Serena Williams.

Recently, a 26 year old man was body boarding on the waters of Reunion Island. He was attacked and killed by a shark. This was the 20th shark attack to happen on this island since 2011.

Oprah Winfrey is an African-American woman who is well known worldwide for starring in movies, creating and producing films, and OWN, which is her own TV network. Oprah Winfrey is an admirable person to African-Americans.

On Saturday, February 4th, 2017, Friendship Tech Prep hosts our school district-wide STEM Fair. This year, there were many great participants and projects from the brilliant minds of all of the Friendship Schools across the district.

On Tuesday, February 7, 2017, a list was put out to rank 100 large metropolitan areas and DC took 4th place. The ranking was based on the quality of life, job prospects, and affordability.
