On September 3, 2016, Tech Prep’s Marching Titans were invited to perform at the halftime show at Georgetown University. The Titans are Friendship Tech Prep's first marching band directed by Dr. Keith Killgo, the music director at Friendship Tech Prep.

This summer I did so many things. I went to Georgetown University, Disney World and New York City....

On June 6, 2016, Friendship News Network Tech Prep Middle School Academy had the chance to go to New York City to experience the life of a New Yorker. The trip was very  exciting because we were able to do things we never did before.

On Monday, May 16, 2016, thirty-two 7th grade scholars had a chance to go to Georgetown University to take a tour of the campus. We had a chance to talk to an actual student from Georgetown that just completed her first year of college. 

Stanford University was originally called Leland Stanford Junior University, but the name got shortened. It’s a private research university in Palo Alto, California. Stanford is known as one of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the world.

My trip to the zoo was very fun and hot. We did a lot of walking in the sun, and we saw a lot of animals like gorillas, tigers, and lions. While we were eating, there were pigeons flying over us....

On April 10, 2016, two students from Friendship Tech Prep left to travel to Flint, Michigan so we could initiate “The Flint Friendship Project”. It was a project that is constructed for Friendship Tech Prep Academy and the International Academy of Flint to help develop a different understanding of Flint...

On a cloudy fall day in 1961, a Tupolev Tu-4 bomber flies over the island of Novaya Zemlya in the Soviet Union. Reaching a height of 35,000 feet, the pilot drops the Tsar Bomba. The Tsar Bomba was a 100 megaton nuclear bomb.That's like someone getting 100 million tons of TNT and detonating it....

Questions have been raised around news articles asking, "Should scholars dissect real animals?” We believe that we as scholars should dissect real animals. We believe that we should dissect real animals because if we don’t, we will never get the real experience with real animals....

On April 12, 2016, Friendship Armstrong Elementary had a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Reading Room. In the Reading Room, the first thing I noticed was the artwork and I saw the bins with the grade levels on them, so if you're in a rush, you don’t have to ask the teacher. 

Hacktivists are hackers who fight for a cause. They fight for political justice and they promote social causes. But you will never know who’s a hacker because they look like everyday people....

During September of 2015, Friendship News Network, Tech Prep Bureau went to the Newseum. This trip was so we could learn about history. It was fun and interesting and it was important to me because I wanted to learn about 9/11.

February 11th, 2016. Students from Friendship Tech Prep went to the National Geographic Museum to attend a meeting for S.T.E.M mentoring at the S.T.E.M Mentoring Cafe. Some mentors told students about their work in space exploration of different galaxies....

 On January 2, 2016, Sean Beach and I went to the Georgetown Hoyas basketball  game. It was their second game at their home court. When they came out the song that was played was “Jumpman”, by the rapper, Future. Jumpman is a popular song made in DC.... 

On Saturday, February 27, 2016 I had the chance to visit where the president lives. I went with a program called College Tribe. College Tribe is a program that is STEM-based and is a mentoring program for 3rd-8th grade black boys.... 

In September of 2015, Jahree Mack and I had the opportunity to interview Mrs. Bonita W. Cacho. So who is Bonita Cacho? Currently she is working at Friendship Tech Prep as a teacher of performing arts and African/Caribbean culture and drama....

Our flag football team record at the end of the season was 4 wins, 2 loses, and 2 ties. So we were able to make it to the playoffs this year....

On January 20, 2016, I was reading a little bit about the banning of foam containers in Washington, DC. Foam has been one of the most used materials for food containers in Washington, DC....
