Bud, Not Buddy is about an orphaned boy named Bud who is from Flint, Michigan. Bud has been an orphan since he was 6 years old when his mother died and his father was not around. Bud always carried around a suitcase that reminded him of his mother and the man who he believes was his father.

Osmosis Jones is a movie about a white blood cell that is trying to save the person, Frank whose body he lives in. Even though Frank has a lot of dirty germs in his body, Osmosis is trying to stop him from dying from a virus named Thrax within 48 hours....

This story is about the last football game I played with my school. We played Kipp DC Aim to make the playoffs. I scored 2 touchdowns and the referee called one back because they thought that the other team took my flag.

On May 5, 2015, 6th and 7th graders put their projects in a STEM Fair that took place in the Tech Prep Middle School gym. We think the STEM Fair is an interesting way to learn about the different areas of science, technology, engineering and math. In the gym there were a variety of exhibits to check out....

On March 7, 2015, FNN reporters from Tech Prep and Woodridge went to Selma, Alabama to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge—an event that changed American history. 

In order to fully experience the aftermath of the civil rights movement, five students from FNN were chosen to travel to Selma, Alabama for the 50th anniversary of the march from Selma to Montgomery. I am happy to say that I was one of those five. On the day of the trip, we all met at the airport and introduced ourselves. 

Today's adventure was tiring and exciting. Everybody woke up and met in the lobby at 6:30 this morning. We hit the road for an hour and 30 minute drive to Selma from Montgomery. We arrived at Ms. Kadesha’s on Leola N. Robertson Street to have breakfast with Mr. Jimmie Webb and some of his activist friends.

On Saturday, June 14, 2014  Tech Prep high school students traveled south to learn about, report on and celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Freedom Summer—one of the most important times in entire history of the civil rights movement.

On this trip I have learned how grateful I am to have clean water to use and that  I don’t have to walk two miles to get it.  Water is heavy. They carry up to five gallons, and some women were carrying it on their heads.  This trip showed me how the little kids were going crazy over a penny.

Today at Anacostia Park, the Titans won their second game of the season against Maya Angelou, 20-18—making them 2-0 in their season.  Today's game was a close call but with offensive MVP, Diamante Battle and defensive MVP Parris White, we were able to bring home the victory 20-18!

We started our journey to retrace the steps of the freedom riders and to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Freedom Summer at DC’s own Friendship House. It was at Friendship House where some of the Freedom Riders began their journey and also where we began ours.
