FEB. 12, 2018: A basketball super team is a team that has good strategy and good players. A super team never gives up. The whole team figures out a way to make a win. They work with each other and they figure out ways to win with each other, and work together to accomplish their goal.

I read this book called Amos and Boris by William Steig. It was about two friends...one lived on land and one didn’t. Amos is a mouse, and Boris is the whale. Amos built a boat and went on a trip to have the adventure to see how the ocean looked. Amos fell off the boat. Then he had to stay in the water for a whole night until Boris came in the morning.

How can you become friends with a person from another culture? First, we read a book about a family from Vietnam that moved to the United States. The book told us about how people reacted to somebody that was different, and how people can be misunderstood.

For the month of February, our school Friendship Southeast Academy rocked our amazing Black History Month. Pre-school through 5th grade performed in different programs to celebrate. Each class in the school participated in the Black History Month Showcase. The overall theme of the school program was “We Are ROYALTY”.

On January 31, 2017, Preschool - 2nd grade went to a skating rink named Temple Hills Skate Palace. All kids that had 150 DOJO points could go. DOJO points have to be earned by following directions.

On January 25, 2017, our school Friendship Southeast Academy K-5th grade had an assembly. We had a visitor named Sarah. Sarah showed us a video about her friends Grace and Michael. She showed two videos, one was called Jump Rope Heart Survivor-Michael Ehlers. 

Do you know what is in your food? Have you ever looked at the ingredients on a potato chips bag? Some of the main ingredients are maltodextrin, ferrous sulfate, and riboflavin. According to Cumberlink.com, “Maltodextrin is a food additive that is produced from a grain starch”. 

Have you ever wanted to be a soccer player? Well I’m here to show you how it works and how to play. You should always listen to your soccer coach and you should be respectful and be a good person.... 

On October 11, 2016, all the 5th graders from Friendship Southeast Academy went to the African American Museum of History and Culture in Washington D.C. The museum was established by an Act of Congress in 2003....
