I read this book called Amos and Boris by William Steig. It was about two friends...one lived on land and one didn’t. Amos is a mouse, and Boris is the whale. Amos built a boat and went on a trip to have the adventure to see how the ocean looked. Amos fell off the boat. Then he had to stay in the water for a whole night until Boris came in the morning.

Our Trip to A New Culture
How can you become friends with a person from another culture? First, we read a book about a family from Vietnam that moved to the United States. The book told us about how people reacted to somebody that was different, and how people can be misunderstood.
The Beat of Royal Blackness
For the month of February, our school Friendship Southeast Academy rocked our amazing Black History Month. Pre-school through 5th grade performed in different programs to celebrate. Each class in the school participated in the Black History Month Showcase. The overall theme of the school program was “We Are ROYALTY”.

On January 31, 2017, Preschool - 2nd grade went to a skating rink named Temple Hills Skate Palace. All kids that had 150 DOJO points could go. DOJO points have to be earned by following directions.
