On December 16, 2015, our Southeast Elementary school media team had a movie premiere of our Lego movie "Kids Are Tasty".

Our Southeast TigerBots were invited to the 2015 Winter Junior First Lego League Robotics Expo in Richmond Virginia. The TigerBots traveled to Richmond to compete in this years expo. The theme was  “Think Tank, Learning Tools”.

Dear Mighty Scholar…..

My mom, dad, little brother and I all went to the circus when it came to Chinatown at the Verizon center last month.

On February 26, 2015 we did a black history project. Our class went to other classes and presented our project so that children can learn about people before us, back in the day. The people before us are important and because of them we have freedom. Our class became those historical people for that day. 

In 2010, Haiti was hit by a enormous earthquake. Some children lost their homes and schools. We got involved when Carline Brice came to our school to tell us about HAVSERVE.

On December 5th Marion Barry took his last ride through the streets of southeast and past our school.

Coraline is relaxing with Dad and big sister, Isis.

I have been cooking for my family since I was around three years old. This chicken dish is one of their favorites, so I make it often. Make this for your family. They will love it. Let me know how it turns out.

Hershey is a super dog. Hershey, the brown French Poodle belongs to Ms. Gomes. Ms Gomes is an SSST Coordinator and Hersey is her pet and therapy dog.

How did we get the Tier 1 banner? We worked together as a school. We made sure everyone learned. We showed the core values. The teachers showed a very important core value. They showed they cared for us. If they didn’t care for us, we would not be Tier One. The students showed respect. The students respected the teachers.
