On September 21, 2021, Governor Abbott of Texas signed a bill, that banned any person from providing an abortion to a pregnant woman without meeting new consent requirements for abortions. He said, “Back in the days you could play in the dirt for free but now you can get paid while playing in the dirt and have the students help by planting fruits and vegetables.
