Black people did not turn out for Hillary in the same numbers as they did for Obama. Now many are mad that Trump won, even though they stayed home.... 

“How can a man get raped? That’s ridiculous!” This disparaging comment is the reason why we don’t really talk about men being sexually assaulted. The victims feel a sense of degradation because they were overpowered, and their manhood was taken from them. 

The Electoral College is a system that tries to make votes in different regions of the US equal (keyword is tries) in order to elect the President of the United States. The system is a very risky way to elect our president and should be abolished.

Trump has now become president and many Americans are in shock and disbelief. Several groups of people who already have limited rights are afraid of what Trump could do to America. These groups include minority races, the LGBTQ community, Muslims, and women. There is even an effort to impeach Trump before he officially takes office. This kind of extreme reaction has never been seen before—even in the 2000 election....

Donald Trump has been elected our new president, and a lot of people are enraged. I can understand their frustration because a bigot has just became our leader. I strongly believe that Trump should not be president. And here are my reasons: he legitimizes racism, he is a terrible public figure, and he is just full of hate.

Police brutality is getting out hand. Now, thanks to the work of body cameras, police officers are starting to be held accountable for their use of unnecessary force. Protesters are beginning to get more violent because they want answers from the government and want to know what is being done to stop this madness from happening to African Americans....

Everybody wants to know the key to being a cheerleader. Of course, cheerleaders don’t have enough time to sleep, or even have time to be themselves. Every time they take a break they have to get back up and cheer again. The cheerleaders work everyday all day.

On September 23, 2016, I participated in the Lit & Talent Show at Collegiate. The pressure to put on a good show was very nauseating. I drank herbal tea for a week, and ran through the song ten times. I was very anxious during the performance.

Damian Lillard is a professional NBA player. He plays for the Portland Trail Blazers. He went to a D3 college called Weber State. He was the first round sixth overall pick in the NBA draft. He went on on to win NBA Rookie of the Year by an unanimous decision.

I am one who loves football. I love the action and I have an extreme passion for the game. There are many players in the NFL today who I look up to, but there is no one I aspire to be like more than JJ Watt. Ever since I moved to defensive end, JJ is someone who I've kept a close eye on.
