Successful, Talented, Energetic, Minds Fared Well at the FPCS STEM Fair

On February 28th, 2015 Friendship Collegiate Academy (FCA) hosted Friendship Public Charter School’s (FCPS) annual STEM fair. The FPCS STEM Fair’s main purpose is to inform kids about science, technology, engineering and math. By doing this, students must complete projects in which STEM is incorporated. It helps create a passion in the youth for STEM activities and learning.

JEA Journalism Convention

On April 16, 2015 I and three fellow students from Friendship News Network flew to Denver for the JEA Journalism Convention. The convention was for teens all over the country who wanted journalism to be their career. Throughout my time there, Denver was very cold and often snowing or raining. It differed a lot from DC. DC is more diverse than Denver, and because I'm a person of color, I stood out from everyone.
