Wonder is a 2017 movie about a boy named Auggie Pullman. Auggie was born with a face that looks very different because of a medical condition called Treacher Collins syndrome. After being homeschooled for years and having many surgeries, he starts fifth grade at a regular public school in New York for the first time. The story shows how Auggie tries to make friends and fit in with the other kids but then he faces bullying. This movie is about being kind and accepting others, while also understanding how people might feel.
I feel like the actors did a great job showing the raw emotion some people might feel going through this. I also like how the movie shows the story from different people’s points of view, like Auggie’s sister, his friends, and even someone who was mean to him. Now something I think they could work on is going more into detail about some of the problems that were going on. But overall I really enjoyed this movie.
Wonder reminds people that being kind and nice to someone could make a big difference in their life because you never know what that person might be going through. It also teaches you to be confident in yourself. Don’t let one thing stop you from being great. I give this movie 4/5 stars. You should definitely watch it! You can find this movie on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV and YouTube.
