It’s important to promote women's excellence all year round, especially in sports. For example, let’s talk about the record-breaking WNBA season that A’ja Wilson had. A’ja Wilson’s 2025 season is cemented as one of the greatest in basketball history.

Before one of the greatest conclusion seasons ever performed, the Las Vegas Aces had a shaky start to their season with a record of 11-11 before the All-Star break. The beginning of the season had a significant impact on A’ja, not only as a dominant player but also as a vocal foundational leader.

Following the mid-season break, the Las Vegas Aces were able to rest and reset from a slow, (11-11) start of the season. This allowed the squad to get healthy and prepare for a historic 16-game winning streak to close out the regular season and secure the 2nd seed in the playoffs, where analysts initially thought the Aces wouldn’t contend. After the All-Star weekend, A’ja Wilson and the Aces soared ahead with remarkable power, solidifying their status as a dominant force in the WNBA.

During this historic comeback, A’ja Wilson played at a remarkably dominant level which pushed her to a record-breaking fourth WNBA MVP award. In addition to that, she also won the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Award, as well as the WNBA Scoring Title. The Las Vegas Aces won the  WNBA championship where A’ja Wilson was named the Finals MVP. In the same season, A’ja won AP Female Athlete of the Year, and TIME athlete of the year. After dropping her signature shoe and apparel collection, which sold out the same day it dropped, it’s appropriate to name A’ja the ‘Thanos of the W,’ collecting every accolade in this 2025 WNBA season.
