The Dangers of ICE

Since January 23rd, 2025, three days after Donald Trump was sworn in for his second term as president, he has reportedly sent government law enforcement officers to target people he believes are not from the United States.
Jumping out of unmarked vehicles, these officers, described frequently as ICE agents, detain civilians without identifying themselves and refusing to read them their Miranda rights upon arrest. These incidents have been happening nationwide, across all 50 states—more so in more urban areas in different states. Trump’s intent appears to be to assert control and power over certain groups, mainly immigrants, and people of color. The immigration officers are said to focus their actions in low-income and urban areas where many Hispanic residents live, unfairly portraying innocent citizens as criminals while disrupting their daily lives. Personally, I don’t believe that ICE should be out on the streets attacking people in broad daylight with no explanation.
In this TikTok video you can see ICE is pulling this woman out of her car, dragging her by her feet after they crashed into her with an unmarked vehicle. She had just had kidney surgery, so she was very sore and in pain. They then dragged her by her feet and legs and threw her into the unmarked vehicle that they used to crash into her. She felt very embarrassed, hurt and confused as to why this was being done to her.
Based on the things going on in the world today and in the video, you can see that ICE agents are horrible people and are abusing their power as arresting agents. If ICE is not stopped they will continue to abuse their power and make the world a much more dangerous place for immigrants and minorities.
