The Commanders Should Be Super Bowl Candidates If There Weren’t So Many Injuries

Since the firing of ex-Panthers coach Ron Rivera, the number two draft pick for the Commanders, Jayden Daniels has brought hope to the city of Washington, DC. Daniels led the Commanders to a 12-5 record and a dominant run to the NFC Championship. Unfortunately, in the conference championship game, they fell short to Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurt’s Philadelphia Eagles. Turnovers were essential. The running back wasn’t able to consistently control the ball. Commanders could have gone to the Super Bowl.
After the NFC Championship, Adam Peters brought weapons to Washington and drafted players to help Daniels lead the team to its first Super Bowl since 1992. But here’s where problems began. After the win against the New York Giants, The Commanders have shown defensive and offensive struggles, especially injuries to their starting quarterback Jayden Daniels. Since the game against the Seahawks where Daniels suffered a horrifying injury, what the fans have been saying is identical to ex-Commanders (Redskins) quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Hopefully during the 2026-2027 season, the Commanders should be able to make changes with the offense and defensive sides. Jayden Daniels should be able to come back from his injury stronger than ever and finally would be able to lead his team to a SuperBowl. I believe in a SuperBowl run next season. All teams in the league should be afraid.
