Friendship Tech Prep’s First DC LifeSmarts Competition

On February 22, 2019, Friendship Tech Prep’s Future Business Leaders of America team attended our very first LifeSmarts competition at UDC Law School. LifeSmarts is a program of the National Consumers League, the nation’s pioneering consumer organization. LifeSmarts is an educational opportunity for students in grades 6-12, that teaches financial and consumer literacy through fun activities.

A Wonderful Trip to New Haven, CT

From April 17 - April 19, 2017, three reporters from Tech Prep and two reporters from Collegiate had the chance to take a trip to New Haven, CT over spring break. We were able to tour Yale University’s famous Beinecke Library to view the Harlem Renaissance exhibit. We toured the entire Yale campus along with the engineering school. We stayed at the Friendship News Network director Ms. Kaufman’s house in Hamden, CT which is about 20 minutes from New Haven.
