Is Jalen Hurts a Top Five Quarterback?

Commentary by Israel Taylor Photo by Matt Slocum.

Since Jalen Hurts got drafted, he has been getting backlash about not being overhyped and not that good. Due to the talent that he has around him, people think he doesn't deserve the title of a top five quarterback, even though he has done everything a quarterback should do and more.

Cam Newton said that he's not a top 5 quarterback, and can’t grade him due to the amount of talent he has around him (strong run game, elite passing, and a great dominant defense.) Hurts leads the NFL in touchdown-to-interception ratio, passing-to-interception ratio, first quarterback with 15 touchdowns, 5 rushing touchdowns and 1 interception within the first 8 games. But he still isn't a top 5 quarterback in some people's eyes. He also won a Super Bowl (Super Bowl LIX) and went to the Super Bowl in the 2022, 2023 season, which quarterbacks who are supposedly higher ranked than him still haven't done. He is not finished either.

I honestly think that Jalen Hurts will be visiting the Super Bowl and will win his division. Following Jalen Hurts on social media and letting people know about the facts, You can also go to NFL.com for more stat info and highlights of Jalen Hurts.
