Heart-Stopping Drama and Equal Amounts Action: Why Grey’s Anatomy Has Me Hooked!’

Grey’s Anatomy is a medical drama TV series that premiered in 2005. Created by Shonda Rhimes, it takes place at Seattle Grace Hospital in Seattle. It’s about a group of new surgical interns trying to get through their first year of residency. The main character is Meredith Grey, and she starts her job not really knowing what to expect, but goes in optimistic, especially with all the things going on in her life prior. Before her first day, she ends up having a one-night stand with Derek, only to find out  that he’s actually a top neurosurgeon at the same hospital. She works with four other interns: Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens, Alex Karev and George O’Malley. While being trained by Dr. Miranda Bailey, the show portrays hospital emergencies with their own personal drama, showing how these doctors handle both saving lives and dealing with their own messy situations.

What I like most about Grey’s Anatomy is that outside the show, Meredith and Derek have a real friendship and the fans see them as a real couple, even though they're both happily married in real life. Similar to the Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn dynamic in another show by Shonda Rhimes.

Grey's Anatomy is never boring, it's actually hard to stop watching! It’s one of the many shows on Netflix by Shonda that are actually good. This show is binge worthy, so if you like shows with over 10 seasons, good drama, action, and scenes that make you scream at your TV, then it'll be great for you. I’d give it 4.5/5 stars. You can find Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix or Hulu.
