10 Things I Hate About You is a Movie I Absolutely Adore

My favorite movie is 10 Things I Hate About You. It was shot in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington, then later released on March 31, 1999. The director of the film is Gil Junger and it stars Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger. In the movie, the protagonist is against the idea of dating anyone at all until a boy in her class changes that. The gravity of this movie displays the development of someone who is widely misunderstood.

My favorite thing about this movie is that although Patrick originally only was going after her for money, he found out who she truly was and ended up loving her. I disliked how he was voluntarily agreeing to falsely lead someone he didn’t know on just for some extra cash in his pocket. Another thing that I loved in this movie was the acting. I specifically liked the scene in the movie where Kat was reading the poem she wrote for a class assignment aloud. Actress Julia Stiles ended up going off script by crying while reading it, making the scene more realistic.

Overall, I would rate 10 Things I Hate About You a 10/10. It is available to watch on Hulu, Netflix, and Disney+.
