SEPT. 8, 2017: On August 26, 2017, Friendship Collegiate went up against Wilson, the game that all players knew they would have to prepare for, which is why in practice they went over the three-step drop—a technique in which the quarterback takes three steps back before throwing the ball. They practiced five days a week, 4-5 hours a day until they knew that the quarterback could perfect this skill. The Knights took the win that as unexpected to some and inevitable to others; with a fine score of 45 zip. The team rejoiced in their victory against the Wilson Tigers. Without being arrogant, the Friendship Knights headed back with their win. This week they’ll prepare to take on the Eastern Ramblers with new plays and techniques on Friday, September 8, 2018, at Eastern Senior High School.
